Anna Kendrick has done what few other people in Hollywood could do — stolen scenes from George Clooney.
In “Up in the Air,” Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a frequent-flying hatchet man, hired by other companies to fire people.
This orderly existence is threatened by Kendrick's character Natalie, a seemingly stoic efficiency expert who plans to revamp the company.
It's a role that has created considerable Oscar buzz for the 24-year-old actress.
It has also garnered her the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Rising Star Award, which will be presented during Tuesday's black tie awards gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Kendrick is already a favorite among younger fans for her work in the blockbuster “Twilight” franchise, playing the dizzy friend Jessica to Kristen Stewart's vampire-crazy Bella.
We spoke to Kendrick the morning her Golden Globe nomination was announced.

Does anyone know about the movie called The Book of Eli w/c star Danzel Washington?I just read that Kristen Stewart was the first choice for the role Solara, then Kristen turned it down due to conflict schedule , at that time she is going to shoot New Moon which has the same shooting schedule for The Book of Eli.
Eventually, the role went to Mila Kunis (ironically they kinda resemblance each other).I just wish that it had a different schedule because I want Kristen to work with Danzel Washington,plus the role is kinda different we can see different side of Kristen.

SF: What was it like to film a movie in Vancouver?
BB: It almost felt like college again - all staying the same hotel. We could go downstairs to each other’s rooms. The hotel was called the Sutton Place. It was the Hollywood Mecca of Canada. Jon Corbett and Bo Derek and the Twilight cast were staying there. You felt like you were in young Hollywood.
SF: Wait a minutes, Twilight was there?
BB: I was pretty excited when Robert Pattinson was downstairs. Kristen Stewart was in the gym a lot. The whole Twilight thing was pretty crazy. Paparazzi were outside the hotel 24/7

It's been a crazy year. The King of Pop passed, a black man was elected president and the world was taken over by "New Moon" mania. Thanks to all these memorable moments, we wanted to a look back at our four favorite moments from MTV News' photo collection, "2009: The Year in Photos."
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson got close and cuddly over the summer up in Vancouver while shooting "Eclipse," and their tender moment at a Kings of Leon concert took the world — and the tabloids — by storm with speculation. Though they still have not admitted to a relationship, we at least know Kristen Stewart is not a lesbian.

Twilight star intimidated buy Robert Pattinson devotees Kristen Stewart has admitted that she finds Robert Pattinson's devoted fans a little intimidating.
The actress realises the rumours about her and co-star Robert make his female admirers see green.
‘Girls are scary,' she says. ‘They covet Rob. I think half of them must hate me.'
Kristen, 19, is also finding it hard to deal with her own rising status.
‘Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable,' she tells Fabulous magazine. ‘I'm an actor. It's bizarre to me that everyone is so obsessive.'
